OAKRIDGE, TX -- A semi truck loses control, careening off a major highway, onto private property in Oakridge Tuesday night, just after 6:30 p.m.
Fire officials tell us the 18-wheeler was westbound on Highway 82, when it left the roadway, ran through some trees, and ended up on the property of 8387 Highway 82.
Cooke County Sheriff Mike Compton says it took about two hours to get the semi moved, because it was carrying barrels of oil that first had to be unloaded.
Traffic was tied up for westbound drivers for a time, but no one was injured. No word what caused the accident., authorities are investigating.
