Gorilla Escapes - Attacks Dallas Zoo Patrons

(Dallas-AP) -- One person remains hospitalized today of four
people hurt in a rampage by an escaped gorilla at the Dallas Zoo. 33 year old Rivers Noah is listed in fair condition at Children's Medical Center at Dallas.

Authorities said police shot and killed the 13 year old male western lowland gorilla when it charged them with a pair of children's sandal's in its hand.

Hospital officials say Keisha Heard of Dallas and Cheryl Reichert were discharged overnight after treatment for bite wounds from the ape. Another child injured in the attack was treated at the scene.
