Murder Suspect Arraigned in Fannin County

03-23-04 - Bond has been set for a Bonham man accused in the brutal murder of a 60 year old man found over the weekend, shot several times.

24 year old Jared Ramer is facing a first degree murder charge, a burglary charge and a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. His bond was set at $310,000.

Ramer is accused of the murder of a 60 year old Fannin County man found shot to death in his home Saturday. The man had been shot about three weeks ago. His idenity has not yet been released.

Both Ramer and his father-in-law, 38 year old Russell Echols, turned themselves into authorities on Monday. Echols is being held for questioning and also faces burglary charges. He will be arraigned sometime Tuesday afternoon.
