Newly-hired Ardmore cop resigns
ARDMORE, OK -- Last week two new officers were hired onto the Ardmore Police force. One of those officers stepped down Tuesday.

ARDMORE, OK -- Last week two new officers were hired onto the Ardmore Police force. One of those officers stepped down Tuesday.
Ardmore Police Chief Gary Adams says after working a shift with his field training officer, Bruce Oakley decided to pursue a different career path, and Monday he resigned.
Adams says he commends Oakley for his efforts. He says Oakley is now considering entering the field of education.
Sixteen applicants are interviewing within the next few days for the six openings at the Police Department, and one new officer will begin employment with the department on November 2.
So far this year, Ardmore's Police Chief, Deputy Police Chief, and Public Information Officer have all resigned.
