MARSHALL COUNTY- The man accused of shooting at a Kingston police officer and sending authorities on a manhunt will be in a Marshall County courtroom this afternoon to face charges.
Curtis Davis is facing a slew charges including attempted murder and assaulting a police officer.
Police say the officer tried to stop Davis near a convenience store along Highway 70 Sunday afternoon. The two got into an altercation, and Davis grabbed the officer's gun and fired at him.
Thankfully no one was hurt, and troopers tracked Davis to a mobile home park where he was hiding in the floor panels of one home.
Police say the officer's holster broke, allowing Davis access to the gun. They're now checking with the holster manufacture to determine what went wrong.
