Teenager Hit By Car Outside Ardmore School

4-8-04 - A 13 year old boy broke his leg after a car ran over him outside the Ardmore Middle School Thursday morning. His own mother was behind the wheel – she didn’t see that the boy had tripped in front of the car.

It happened around 8:20 in the morning, while children were being dropped off outside school. Police say the mother thought the boy had gone inside, but instead, he’d tripped and fallen in front of the car. The mother starting pulling forward and ran over the ankle of her son. He suffered a broken leg, but should recover.
