WNJ to screen ER patients prior to treatment

By  |

SHERMAN - In an effort to better serve their patients, Wilson N. Jones Hospital will now screen emergency room patients before they have treatment.

The new initiative will help with patient cost issues as well as time restraints.

Those seeking primary medical care services for non-urgent conditions will be sent to area clinics.

The screening process will allow the emergency room department staff to focus their efforts on the urgent emergency and trauma patients.

Other hospitals across the U.S. have already put this plan into action.
