Seeking Justice for Ardmore Woman's Murder

(Grand Junction, Colorado-AP) -- Prosecutors say a mix of pride and humiliation drove Michael Blagg to kill his wife - a native of Ardmore, Oklahoma. The defense says Blagg was arrested only because investigators couldn't find anyone else to blame.

Jurors in Grand Junction, Colorado, heard closing arguments in Blagg's first-degree murder trial today. They're expected to start deliberations after the defense finishes its arguments tomorrow. Blagg is accused of killing his wife, Jennifer Blagg.

Mesa County District Attorney Frank Daniels says Blagg shot his wife to escape a troubled marriage. Daniels introduced evidence that Michael Blagg had been downloading pornography from the Internet.

Defense attorney David Eisner says prosecutors went after Blagg
because they had no case against anyone else. Eisner maintains an intruder shot and killed Jennifer Blagg in 2001.
