(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Beverly Rankin is happy to make her weekly
trips to the Oklahoma City bombing memorial. She used to work at the site. But on April 19th, 1995, a colleague called her and drew her away from the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, saving her life.
Nine years ago, 168 people died in the blast. Rankin can laugh as she remembers jokes she shared with co-workers about some of the art in the building. Now, most of those pieces are in a new exhibit at the memorial.
Rankin says they remind her of the time before the bombing, when
there was more purity and innocence. The items in the exhibit aren't the only reminders of the bombing.
A two-hour drive away in McAlester, other memories are on display for survivors attending the state murder trial of bombing conspirator Terry Nichols.
