4-19-04 When Murray County Reserve Deputy Philip signed on for duty this past weekend he expected to round up the bad guys, instead he found a piece of his own history, a rifle missing for 20 years. The .22 Springfield Rifle was one of a half a dozen firearms recovered in that bust. It was stolen 20 years ago from parent's home.

When deputies brought the gun in, was able to identify it by his initials he had carved into the stock twenty years ago. The Department says there is no way to know how many times the gun has changed hands over the years, but now it is on the way back to the rightful owner.
