Ardmore Airport gets new equipment
ARDMORE, OK -- Ardmore Airpark firefighters are training to operate some brand new equipment. Airport officials say their new fire truck will not only increase safety at the Ardmore Municipal Airport, but also help boost business.

ARDMORE, OK -- Ardmore Airpark firefighters are training to operate some brand new equipment. Airport officials say their new fire truck will not only increase safety at the Ardmore Municipal Airport, but also help boost business.
They say the arrival of the new fire engine could begin to attract more general aviation traffic, which will help increase city revenue. Airport officials say even the atmosphere has changed for the better since the new fire truck came on line.
"The morale here at the fire department, here at the Airpark, has done a 180 degree turn, so everybody is really pleased. I’m pleased, I'm just glad that we got it," Chris Bryant, airport manager, says.
The funds for the truck were provided by the county firefighters’ sales tax.
