SHERMAN, TX -- While you might not know it, video games have surpassed Hollywood as the number one moneymaking source of entertainment.

Monday night, perhaps the highest selling game of all time is being released.

Hundreds of people have already lined up to get their hands on the newest Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 2.

Video games have been outselling the movies for a few years now, and last year, interactive media outsold the movies to the tune of 5 billion dollars.

We asked some of the people lined up here to get Modern Warfare 2 why they think that is.

The clock is ticking down to the moment when avid gamers can get their hands on Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2.

Monday's release could be the largest media release ever and some say it solidifies the supremacy of video games in the world of entertainment.

But why?

"We are able to interact with them more than movies, You can sit and watch a movie, but you cant interact with them, but in this game, you can become the charector, you are this person."

Another the reason gamers say the prefer games, you get more bang for your buck, a 7 dollar movie ticket, gets you 2 hours of entertainment, but a video game can go a whole lot further.

"About how many hours a week do you think you are going to play this game?" "About 20 or 30 hours a week, it's a good part time job."

With sales expected to reach 5 million copies in the first day, Infinite Ward, the games creator could stand to make three quarters of a billion dollars before the end of the year.

While the game won't be leaving the shelf until midnight, these gamers say they will be putting Call of Duty through its paces as soon as they can get it home to see if it lives up to the hype.

"Modern Warfare One was a very exciting game, and from what I have seen, I expect it to be twice as good as that, I have high expectations for this game."

Just to give you an idea of how big video games have become, the highest grossing movie of all time, "Titanic", has made 1.8 billion dollars over the 12 years since it's release in 1997.

This game, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2", is expected to make half of that before the end of this year--which is only two months away.
