We're continuing our “What's Right” in Texoma series, where we take time to spotlight the positive stories and share what people are doing right. Shelby Levins takes our special series us outside of texoma this time, to honor local fallen veterans.

One man from Maysville, Oklahoma is celebrating Veterans Day and paying tribute to local heroes a little differently. He's in the midst of a trip around the world, to place a rose rock - the state’s official stone - on every single grave of a fallen Oklahoman soldier.

We first introduced you to Michael Beach back in May.

"It just means that much to me, to tell them, ‘hey I appreciate what you've done,” Beach explained this past spring.

There are more than 3,000 Oklahoma soldiers buried abroad, and so far Beach has visited more than 1,500 of them in more than 20 cemeteries across Europe and Asia.

He places a little red rose rock on top of each white cross. Beach says he still has hundreds more Oklahoman soldier's graves to visit.

Beach left for his trip of tribute around the world back in June, and says he's currently in the Philippines.

Beach says he just wants to make sure every Oklahoma soldier has been thought of.

Now we want to hear from you, tell me what’s right in your community. Don't be shy; shoot me an email at shelby.levins@kxii.com, or leave me a comment right here.

And be sure to tune on Thursday for the next piece in our “What’s Right” series.
