4-27-04 - The future of two school administrators in Van Alstyne could be decided soon. An investigation by an outside agency is finished and is in the hands of the school superintendent.

It began two weeks ago, after allegations that elementary school principal Sandra Bodack and assistant principal Allison Cobb violated separation of church and state during a faculty meeting. The school board has not made the allegation public, but sources say it has to do with a Bible that was brought to the meeting.

Superintendent Bill Lytle says he's still looking at the investigation findings. He may ask for recommendations from the school board and even input from both administrators on leave. He hopes to have a decision by the end of the week.
