COLLINSVILLE, TX -- Seven different fire departments rushed to the scene of a house fire just east of Collinsville Thursday evening.
The call came in just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening at a home on FM 902 about 5 miles east of Collinsville.
All of the occupants of the home were able to make it out safely but a lack of water proved to be trouble in battling the fire.
Assistant Chief Fire Marshal Damon Stewart said, "There's no underground water supply out here things had to be done with tanker shuttles. We've set up water shuttle operations and drafting units. Have tankers come in and dump water and drive it over to the attack."
The single story structure is considered a total loss.
A total of 26 firefighters fought the blaze.
The Grayson County Fire Marshal is investigating.
