Court hearing pushed back in Durant murder case
DURANT, OK -- The preliminary hearing for a man accused of first degree murder in Durant has been rescheduled. Phillip Yelvington, 34, was set to appear in court Monday for his preliminary hearing, but officials tell us reports from the State Medical Examiner’s Office and the OSBI are not complete.

DURANT, OK -- The preliminary hearing for a man accused of first degree murder in Durant has been rescheduled.

Phillip Yelvington, 34, was set to appear in court Monday for his preliminary hearing, but officials tell us reports from the State Medical Examiner’s Office and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are not complete.

Yelvington is accused of stabbing 25-year old Jason Booker to death in July at his home on the corner of Lynnewood and Dana streets.

He is now scheduled to appear in court on January 13, 2010.
