SHERMAN, TX -- The turkeys went fast this morning for the Always Better Care Turkey Giveaway.
This is the second year for the giveaway and at Texoma Hyundai in Sherman, and the turkeys were gone within ten minutes.
Officials with Always Better Care say they wanted to do something special for residents who may not be able to afford food for Thanksgiving, and Texoma Hyundai mangers say they're happy to be part of the giveaway and will take part next year as well.
"You know help out whoever we can whenever we can I mean right now it's a tough time out there and a lot of families need it and we're going to do our part to help out whatever we can," Jade Lamance, manager at Texoma Hyundai, says.
In all, they had about 600 turkeys to give away, all of which were gone by 11:30.
