Preventing a Tragedy - Free Gun Locks

5-3-04 - The Grayson County Sheriff's Office is giving away gun safety locks - free to the public. The program is part of a national gun safety campaign called Project Childsafe.

Deputies say the goal is to promote safe storage and use of guns and most importantly to keep them out of children's hands.

The locks can be used on any type of gun or rifle and deputies will show people how to use the lock on their particular gun. They will give a gun lock for each gun someone owns.
