Pain at the Pump - Record Highs

(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The price of gasoline is at a record high
in Oklahoma today. AAA Oklahoma says the statewide average for a gallon of regular is $1.735 cents per gallon.

But the cost of gas in Oklahoma is still among the lowest in the nation. Only South Carolina, New Jersey, Georgia, Texas and Virginia have lower average prices with South Carolina the lowest at $1.69 per gallon.

The highest price is in Hawaii at just more than $2.16 per gallon.

The average price in Oklahoma City today is $1.715 cents per gallon, up nearly four cents per gallon from yesterday and more than a dime per gallon higher than a month ago.

In Tulsa, the average is slightly more than $1.765 cents a gallon. That's an increase of just more than nine cents from yesterday and more than 17 cents higher than a month ago.
