5-6-04 - Charges will not be filed against a Pottsboro substitute teacher after a Grayson County grand jury refused to indict him Thursday.

Half a dozen 3rd grade boys had accused the teacher in March of physically assaulting them during a physical education class. It happened on the Friday before Spring Break. The boys told other teachers that the sub had kicked on of them and picked another up by his neck. Pottsboro police investigated the case and then turned it over the Grayson County Attorney last month.

Charges were never filed against the teacher. Today his attorney hopes the allegations have not hurt his client’s ability to get future substitute positions.
