5-12-04 - A fire broke out Wednesday at Ardmore's Atlas Roofing Company. Around 4:30pm, a portion of the paper deck caught fire. That area is used for storage of cardboard and corrugated paper used for making shingles.
Crews had it under control in less than an hour and kept the fire contained to about ¼ of the material. The location of Atlas added urgency to the scene – its right next to the Valero Oil Refinery.
In the end, no one was hurt ad none of the buildings were damaged.
