Dangerous Curve - Semi Skids 200 Feet

05-18-05 - A dangerous stretch of road on highway 69 caused another wreck when a semi-truck rolled over just south of Calera Monday night. The truck driver survived a after his rig flipped on its side and slid 200 feet.

This is the sixth accident involving semi-trucks on that same curve in the past two years alone. One southbound lane is still blocked today; both lanes will be closed later this afternoon when crews tow the trailer.

Recently, the state posted signs, warning drivers to slow down on that stretch of road.
