ADA, OK -- An update to a story we brought you a few weeks ago, an ECU student, who claimed he was being forced out of his dorm because of his physical disabilities, will be able to stay in school.

Joshua Jackson told us back in October he was going to have to move out of his dorm in December because ECU claimed his physical disability could make him a danger to himself or others in an emergency situation.

ECU officials said, at the time, they couldn't comment on specific issues.

But Jackson now says the problem is solved. He says a fellow student living in a neighboring room has volunteered to help him evacuate in case of an emergency.

Jackson says in return, the university is providing the student with a dorm room free of charge.
