DALLAS - The conviction of a Pottsboro teen for a 2007 murder has been upheld by a Texas Court of Appeals. Preston "Tyler" Quain, 18, was found guilty in October 2008 of the murder of 32-year-old Danny Joe Rolen, Jr.

Rolen was found dead in his mobile home in Pottsboro in December of 2007. Officials say he'd been hit in the head with a hammer and stabbed more than 15 times. Quain was convicted and sentenced to 99 years in prison.

His lawyer appealed, arguing that the trial judge should have disqualified a juror who personally knew some of the witnesses.

Quain will not be eligible for parole until 2038.
