Semi accident shuts down Highway 82
SHERMAN, TX -- Two semi trucks collide Thursday night, shutting down Highway 82 westbound for several hours. Around 6:00 p.m. one 18-wheeler rear-ended another that was stalled on the highway.

SHERMAN, TX -- Two semi trucks collide Thursday night, shutting down Highway 82 westbound for several hours. Around 6:00 p.m. one 18-wheeler rear-ended another that was stalled on the highway.
Sherman Police say the collision happened on the Highway 82 bridge over Frisco Road.
Both the drivers were taken to Wilson N. Jones with minor injuries.
Officers say the crash caused substantial damage to the cab of the semi that hit the stalled rig, and lots of diesel fuel spilled on the highway.
A haz-mat officer was on scene, directing the clean up.
Westbound 82 was completely shut down at spur 1417, and westbound traffic was diverted down the spur to Highway 56.
Authorities say on a scale of severity from one to ten--this wreck stacks up at an eight or nine.
"The driver of the second vehicle slammed into the back of the first one, it's pretty fortunate that he's not hurt worse than what he was just by the looks of the cab," said Sherman Police Officer Jeff Jones.
Police say the cause of the accident is under investigation.
