New Year's Resolutions
ARDMORE, OK-- Kicking the nicotine habit is just one of many popular New Year’s resolutions and if you're like many Americans getting healthier is also at the top of the list.

ARDMORE, OK-- Kicking the nicotine habit is just one of many popular New Year’s resolutions and if you're like many Americans getting healthier is also at the top of the list.
According to a Marist poll, 19 percent of adults made a resolution today to be healthier. People we talked to in Ardmore tell us this year will be all about eating better and exercising more.
Most say they hope to get rid of extra weight they put on during the holidays. It’s estimated less than half of all people will keep their resolutions.
Experts say the easiest way is to start with the basics like putting more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains back in to your diet.
Mary Bernt, who owns Veggies Restaurant and Store in Ardmore said, "Less junk food, less meat, less fast food and just start incorporating some of those good things into their diet."
Quitting smoking comes in as the second most popular New Year's resolution.
