Two upper level waves will interact with a warm and very moist air mass to generate thunderstorms through Saturday. Lightning and torrential rainfall that could cause flash flooding are the primary threats...with a secondary threat of damaging winds. Turn around, don't drown!
(Lone Grove-AP) -- For the second time this week a small earthquake is being reported in southern Oklahoma. The US Geological Survey says a 2.9 magnitude quake occurred at 7:30 this morning about four miles northwest of Lone Grove.
That's near where a 3.7 quake was reported on Tuesday.
Tuesday's quake rattled dishes and 140 people reported feeling
the tremor. Jim Lawson with the Oklahoma Geological Survey says no
one has reported feeling this morning's quake.
