Woman killed in home explosion outside Ada
ADA, OK - One woman was killed in a house explosion Friday in Ada. Fire officials on scene say they believe a propane tank may have caused the home off County Road 3530 to explode.

ADA, OK - One woman was killed in a house explosion Friday in Ada. Fire officials on scene say they believe a propane tank may have caused the home off County Road 3530 to explode.
According to the Ada Fire Department the home had lost power, and the homeowner had brought in a propane heater to keep the house warm. Investigators say there were several other propane tanks inside the home, one of which was leaking. When the homeowner lit the heater, it exploded, and the house caught fire.
Fire officials say the homeowner suffered burns to over half of his body, but was able to make it out of the home. His wife died inside the home.
No name are being released, but according to the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office a 70-year-old woman died in the fire, and her husband remains hospitalized in critical condition.
