Johnston Co. EMTs assist at Lawton storm shelter
Other make shift storm shelters are set up in the Duncan and Lawton, Oklahoma areas. The Medical Emergency Response Center is calling on EMT's from our area, to lend a helping hand to those areas hit the hardest by the winter blast.

Other make shift storm shelters are set up in the Duncan and Lawton, Oklahoma areas. The Medical Emergency Response Center is calling on EMT's from our area, to lend a helping hand to those areas hit the hardest by the winter blast.
This is a picture from the Lawton Shelter set up at Cameron Baptist Church. Three Johnston County EMTs are working there tonight.
Allen Bentley, you see him here, along with Jody Tamplen and Kris Travis are all providing needed medical care to residents left temporarily homeless by the power outages.
The emergency responders tell us more than 100 people are being housed in the shelter.
