Sherman man hit, killed changing tire on U.S. 82
SHERMAN, TX - An accident claimed the life of a Sherman man over the weekend when a car hit a 20-year-old while he was changing a tire.

SHERMAN, TX - An accident claimed the life of a Sherman man over the weekend when a car hit a 20-year-old while he was changing a tire.
According to Sherman Police, Britain Freeman, 20, of Sherman, was changing the tire of his car on the shoulder in the eastbound lane of U.S. Highway 82 near the intersection of FM 1417 early Sunday morning when he was struck by a passing car.
Freeman was taken to Texoma Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say they are investigating the incident as criminal negligent homicide, and criminal charges could be filled against the driver who struck Freeman.
