ADA, OK - A former Pontotoc County District Attorney's Office employee is now under OSBI investigation after admitting to misusing office funds.

District Attorney Chris Ross stated in a press release today an OSBI investigation began in January after Ross called the bureau to investigate possible misuse of funds.

An employee resigned just a day later. Ross states that the employee was responsible for all the missing funds and remains the subject of an OSBI investigation.

Because this is a continuing criminal matter, Ross says he cannot comment more specifically on the details of the investigation.

Ross called the misappropriation a very serious offense, as well as a betrayal of trust.
