SHERMAN, TX - The jury trial to determine if a Fannin County woman mistreated her horses was dismissed Thursday.

Back in August, the Fannin County Sheriff's Office seized several dozen horses from Kim Dotson after several had been spotted dead and others had to be euthanized. Now some of the horses she was left to care for are in Bells and also appear to be emaciated.

But because of a problem with the Bells Police Department affidavit, the trial today was canceled.

Officers say they filed a new affidavit today and will most likely have the animal cruelty trial next week.
