LONE GROVE, Okla. -- It wasn’t just the storms that scared residents in Lone Grove early Tuesday morning.
Around 4:00 a.m., tornado sirens woke many home owners out of bed.
The storm was still 30 miles out.
City officials say it was a malfunction in the siren box. No one needed to worry. Even if the storm didn’t roll through this morning, the box still would have went off.
The city is looking into buying a new system but that could be more than $30,000.
