Steakhouse Burns 8 Years After 1st Fire

6-22-04 - The owner of Naifeh's Steakhouse in Cartwright says he will reopen after a Monday night fire damaged his restaurant. It comes 8 years after lightning destroyed the Naifeh's restaurant in Mead, Oklahoma.

When firefighters got the call around 8:30pm Monday, they found flames shooting out of the north side of the building, near the kitchen. It took firefighters over an hour to douse the fire. No one was inside the restaurant at the time.

One firefighter cut his hand on broken glass. He was taken to Texoma Medical Center with minor injuries.

The State Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the fire.
