6-24-04 - A local non-profit group is taking a beating from vandals – literally. Vandals broke into two Habitat for Humanity homes Wednesday night by kicking down doors and tearing off window screens. It happened off Turner road in Ardmore.

But this isn't the first time the site has had problems. Someone also set playground equipment on fire and stole lumber recently. Last night a neighbor also had tires and a swimming pool vandalized.

Each case has cost Habitat anywhere from $100 to $500. When the homes are finally done, they will become the property of families who are looking for their 1st house.
