OKLAHOMA CITY - A former Oklahoma State Senator from Hugo was arrested on a public intoxication complaint in Oklahoma City earlier this month.

Sister station KWTV reports Jeff Rabon was staying at an Oklahoma City motel when he started kicking the control panel inside one of the motel elevators while holding an empty can of beer.

This is the fourth alcohol-related run-in with the law for Rabon, who served in the state Senate from 1996 until 2008.

He was charged with aggravated drunk driving in 2007 after he crashed a truck into another vehicle in Hugo. His blood-alcohol level at the time was twice the legal limit.

His trial on that misdemeanor charge is set for April in Choctaw County.
