GRAYSON COUNTY, TX - An Irving man was arrested for stealing about $8,000 worth of gravel.

Francisco Poppie Pena, 46, was jailed on theft charges after the Grayson County Sheriff's Office says Pena stole a front-end loader from a construction site in Blue Ridge, Texas, and used it to steal about 20 loads of gravel.

That gravel belongs to Grayson County, Precinct Two, and was to be used for roadwork along Highway 69 this May.

Authorities say Pena left the loader at the scene of the theft. He's being held on a $15,000 bond.

The stolen rock was returned to Precinct Two officials.
