Big money for United Way
SHERMAN, TX--The United way of Grayson County may a big announcement this morning in a press conference at its Sherman location.

SHERMAN, TX--The United way of Grayson County may a big announcement this morning in a press conference at its Sherman location.The organization says volunteers raised one-point-three million dollars over the past year to give back to non-profit organizations in Grayson County.
CEO, David Cortinas, says the money is going to be handed out to the 22 organizations that the United Way supports. Cortinas says he was happily surprised at this year’s outcome even though it is lower than year's past.
"Based with the economy. Based on unemployment and job loss and freezes. Everyone thought this community was going to have a tough challenge. That's why we came up with the theme "A Texas size need met with a Grayson County Heart,” said Cortinas.
Volunteers KXII spoke to say they still need more people to give their time to the United Way.
