SHERMAN, TX - A Gainesville woman with a history of driving drunk on Texoma roads has been sentenced to ten years in prison.

The Grayson County District Attorney's Office tells us a jury recommended the maximum sentence for 29-year-old Crystal Taylor yesterday.

Witnesses testified Taylor drove drunk and hit two cars while leaving a Sherman party in 2007. When a party-goer approached Taylor's vehicle she took off, dragging the man more than 1,100 feet before he fell under the car and was run over, suffering serious injuries including the permanent loss of use of one of his arms.

Then just last year Whitesboro Police caught Taylor while out on bond driving drunk the wrong way down U.S. Highway 82.

District Judge Brian Gary followed the jury's recommendation and sentenced Taylor to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine for leaving the scene of an accident involving injury or death.
