COOKE COUNTY, TX - If you have an outstanding warrant in Cooke County, county officials say now is the time to take care of it.

The two week amnesty period lasts through Friday, during which people can turn themselves in on outstanding warrants and have the fees dismissed.

Justice of the Peace Dorothy Lewis says the response has been tremendous, and more people than they had thought have come in to take care of their warrants. But starting Saturday, all fees are back, and all city and county law enforcement agencies will be out in full force making arrests for any outstanding warrants.

If you're not sure if you have unpaid fines, you're advised to call the court.
