BONHAM, TX - The Farm Service Agency is now helping farmers affected by severe winter weather. Farmers who have lost 30% of their production due to the winter storm that occurred December 24 and 25 are eligible for emergency loans.

Fannin County farm Loan manager David Dunmon says those who wish to apply for the loans need to submit their applications as soon as possible. The actual application deadline isn't until October 25, but Dunmon says waiting too long could cause delays.
