Pedestrian Killed Crossing F.M. 1417

7-11-04- A Denison woman was killed crossing F.M. Road 1417 just south od Denison in a bizarre overnight accident. Authorities are not sure why 44 year old Sheila Qualls was crossing the road at 2:30 this morning, but say she was killed instantly.

The accident happened on 1417 just south of the 691 intersection. Investigators say the driver of the car that hit Qualls did not see her, but did stop to help the woman. By the time paramedics arrived, Qualls was pronounced dead on the scene.

Troopers say the driver of the car will not be charged, but the accident is still under invstigation.
