SHERMAN, TX - A news conference Wednesday morning left more questions than answers about a homicide earlier this week in Grayson County. The body of a 27-year-old man was found in a pasture just west of Sherman on Monday afternoon after he'd been missing for a week.

Investigators for the Grayson County Sheriff's Office found the body of murdered Bobbi Ray Mathenia in a field off of Gibbons Road and Deaver Road near Highway 56.

Chief Rains says the cause of death is blunt force trauma to the head, and that they are investigating Mathenia's death as a homicide.

The Sherman Police Department filed a missing person's report for Mathenia last Monday, March 8th.

Information in that report led to identifying Mathenia. Rains says one suspect in the case was arrested on unrelated charges, which led to a second arrest for murder of another suspect yesterday afternoon.

"I won't say that there's other suspects involved. There are other issues that we have to clear up, and that's why we've convened the grand jury to help us determine whether there are or whether there are not," Chief Tom Rains of the Grayson County Sheriff's Office.

Both suspects are in the Grayson County Jail. Their names not being released yet, but could be formally charged this afternoon and their identities released.

The special grand jury will be held next Wednesday.

The investigation is ongoing, according to sheriff's officials.
