7-17-04- Congressman Ralph Hall was presented with a key to the city of Leonard, Texas Saturday at Leonard's 125th annual picnic. The picnic has been a town tradition since the small Fannin County community was founded back in 1880.

The picnic is a four day event and starting Thursday night, folks gathered at the old picnic grounds on the east side of the square to listen to music and hit the rides at the carnival. A new event this year was the chuckwagon breakfast, which drew more than 200 people Saturday morning.

Saturday afternoon, Leonard mayor Bill Oss presented Congressman Hall with a key to the city. Hall has represented the folks of Leonard in the U.S. Congress for more than two decades.
