Basketball Team Questioned by Police

7-19-04 - The Lone Grove High School basketball team is the focus of a police investigation concerning the alleged molestation of a young child. The story began when the team attended a basketball camp in Anadarko two weeks ago. Soon after they returned home, allegations surfaced that one member of the team sexually molested a seven year old boy.

The superintendent made police aware of the allegation, and since then, both the Anadarko police and Long Grove officers have been investigating. So far, they have conducted interviews with each member of the team that attended the camp.

At this point, police say they have found enough evidence to warrant continuing the investigation. Police hope to have their investigation finished within the next two days, at which point it will be handed over to the Anadarko police department.
