Ardmore Couple Killed in Accident

7-24-04- An Ardmore couple was killed tonight after their pickup truck was struck by a tractor-trailer in southeastern Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Claude and Mary Taylor were killed in the accident around 3:50 pm today on US Highway 70 in Millerton.

Both were taken to the McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, where they were pronounced dead.

The highway patrol says Claude Taylor was driving north on US
70 when he tried to cross in front of the tractor-trailer. The semi hit the pickup truck on the passenger side.

The driver of the semi was treated and released.
