Teens Behind Ardmore Crime Spree

7-29-04 - A crime spree in Ardmore is being blamed on kids.  Police have worked 16 cases of vandalism and burglaries in the last few weeks and say its all the work of juveniles.

A recent case involved vandalism at a full-service gas station, where juveniles knocked out front and back taillights of a car parked on the property and lit a dumpster on fire.  It’s not the first time the station has been victimized.

Police say although juvenile crimes are down from last year, they’re concerned with the recent crime streak because teen trouble can carry over into their adult lives.
