DURANT, OK - A 14-year-old girl remains in the hospital with serious leg injuries after being hit by a car.

Police say 16-year-old Austin Davis was driving recklessly on North 11th street and Locust around 9 p.m. Tuesday, doing donuts and speeding in the neighborhood to show off. Davis lost control of his Chevy Cobalt, hit a curb, and then struck 14-year-old Chelsea Gill while she was standing in her yard. Davis then crashed into a utility pole.

Gill was flown by helicopter to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Police say Davis wasn't hurt, but was very upset after the crash.

Davis also had a teenage passenger in the car. Neither were injured, and no criminal charges have been filed.
