PAULS VALLEY, Okla. (AP) - A Davis man is guilty of a
misdemeanor in the shooting of two Oklahoma football players near
Pauls Valley last year.

A jury found Napoleon Lewis the third guilty of recklessly
handling a firearm. Lewis was originally charged with felony
shooting with intent to kill but the judge dismissed those charges.

Lewis was charged after Sooner players Wayne Chambers and Ataleo
Ford, from Ardmore, were wounded at a party at a VFW post just outside Pauls Valley.

Chambers and Ford were among about 20 OU players at the party
last July.

The jury is recommending six months in jail and fines of $500 for Lewis. Formal sentencing is set for August 16th.
