VAN ALSTYNE, Tex. -- Some Grayson County residents got out in the steamy weather to learn special tricks on how to keep Texas beautiful.

It was all part of the First Annual Texoma Earth Day conference held at the Van Alstyne Grayson County College campus.

Environmental experts from across Texas were invited to speak and share what they know on topics from recycling to following city ordinances.

Organizers say the event is a good way to make sure everyone knows the proper ways of keeping the environment clean.
